Terms of Service
Short version: AtlasFiles is a personal productivity tool. Pay month-to-month or yearly. Cancel any time — access continues to the end of the period you paid for. Don't misuse the software or share subscriptions.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using AtlasFiles, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. The service
AtlasFiles is a desktop application for macOS and Windows that indexes files on your local machine and connected cloud folders and provides a private, offline search interface. File Library is available during the 7-day trial; a subscription is required for premium tools and continued use after the trial.
3. Subscription and billing
AtlasFiles is available on the following plans:
- Free trial: 7 days of File Library access with no payment required. Duplicate Cleaner and Smart Insights require a paid subscription. No card is needed to start the trial.
- Personal Monthly: ₹99 per month, billed monthly.
- Personal Yearly: ₹999 per year, billed annually (approximately 16% less than monthly).
Billing is handled by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorize Razorpay to charge your payment method on each billing cycle until you cancel. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). Any applicable taxes or final total will be shown at checkout.
We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days' notice to subscribers before the new price applies to their renewal.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account > Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access until that date. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.
5. Device limit
Each personal subscription may activate AtlasFiles on 1 device. You can view and deactivate your device from Account > Devices. Device limits may change; subscribers will be notified before any reduction takes effect.
6. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Share subscription credentials with others or use a single subscription across more devices than the stated limit
- Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or disable the subscription or entitlement system
- Use AtlasFiles to index files you do not have permission to access
- Resell, sublicense, or distribute AtlasFiles
- Use the software for any unlawful purpose
7. Intellectual property
AtlasFiles and all associated software, design, and documentation remain the property of Bharath Gedela. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software for personal purposes. No ownership or intellectual property rights are transferred.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how it is used. Your file index and local data are never sent to our servers.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
AtlasFiles is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Use of AtlasFiles for critical or irreplaceable data is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bharath Gedela shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to your use of AtlasFiles, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay amounts owed, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service with at least 30 days' notice, we will provide a pro-rated refund for any remaining prepaid subscription period.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
