Getting started

  1. Download & install — Choose your platform above, download the app, and run the installer. It takes about 30 seconds.
  2. Sign in with Google — Launch AtlasFiles and authenticate with your Google account. Your file index never leaves your computer.
  3. Start scanning — Select folders to index. The app runs in the background; you'll see live progress and can cancel anytime.
  4. Try free for 7 days — File Library (search by name, type, date, size) is free for 7 days. No card required.
  5. Subscribe for premium — After 7 days or anytime, click Subscribe to unlock Duplicate Cleaner and Smart Insights. Have a promo code? Enter it during checkout for 3 months free.

Install help

Run the installer, then on the blue SmartScreen prompt click More info → Run anyway. File scanning and search stay local; the app connects only for account and subscription checks. To skip this entirely, download from the Microsoft Store instead.
The index lives in a local SQLite database in your app data folder — ~/Library/Application Support/AtlasFiles on macOS, %APPDATA%\AtlasFiles on Windows. Delete it anytime to reset the index.
